Particular edition of TFC best dedicated to the best pools I have found in the last few years that you can find reviewed on this site. Usually we publish our awards at the end of the year, but this is an ageless ranking, so we decided to publish it in mid-2023.
In this article:
Foreword: I left out of this ranking hotels in the Maldives and similar places: sure they are beautiful, but here you go for the sea, not the pools.
The most spectacular pool
I have not yet been to the world's most Instagrammed pool, that is. in Dubai, where the one literally taken by storm by influencers is located., fuffaguru and ordinary tourists. For me the most spectacular remains that of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore.
Did you get your flight cancelled, miss your connection, land late?
You could get up to 600€ compensation per person
This iconic pool is located on the rooftop of the hotel and has a crazy view of the Gulf of Singapore. This hotel does not participate in any alliance e is not even among the cheapest in the world. If you are not a guest, you can't bathe, unfortunately, so if you want to splurge, I recommend that you only stay one night, bathe and take lots of photos, and then move on.
The best pool bookable with points
Of beautiful pools in hotels I have found many, this one however adds up the unique location (Waikiki Beach in Honolulu), the view of the volcano, and the size. It's not the only pool at the Sheraton Waikiki, but it is the only one accessible only to adults and the only one where you can enjoy a spectacular sunset. This facility belongs to the Marriott portfolio and is therefore bookable using Bonvoy points.
The most beautiful swimming pool with a runway view
There are not a few runway-view pools. There are lounges at various airports that offer this benefit-from Singapore to Mexico. There is, however, only one pool with a view of one of the world's busiest airports: That of the TWA Hotel in New York City.
Open almost 24h, and heated in winter, the swimming pool of the hotel that rose from the ashes of the TWA terminal in New York is on the rooftop of the structure overlooking Terminal 5. In order to take a dip, one must be a guest of the hotel, which also offers rooms on a day use basis; for a photo, however, it is possible to go up to the rooftop where there is one of the hotel's restaurants.
The most beautiful swimming pools
There is only one winner here and it is the Atlantis Dubai. The iconic hotel built on the tip of the giant palm-shaped archipelago of artificial islands.
No hotel in the world offers anything like this, because in addition to the traditional swimming pools with all kinds of gadgets included, the facility also houses one of the largest water parks in the world.
Hotel guests have free access and can enjoy all that this complex has to offer.
The most fun pool
The world is full of hotels hosting beautiful beach pool parties: from various Nikki Beach Hotel to the many Las Vegas hotels that offer space pools, as the new Hilton Resort World complex.
These include the About Las Vegas, the only hotel in Sin City forbidden to children. The facility's rooftop pools are both a beach club and a stadium where major sporting events can be watched.
The most beautiful Marriott pool
Granted, the Sheraton Waikiki is in the Marriott group, but it has already won the award for best bookable pool with points. So I chose to award the Rooftop Pool of the Marriott Bangkok The Surawongse. Rooftop Views of Bangkok is a special place to relax and cool off from the mugginess of the Thai capital.
The most beautiful Hilton pool
I would have liked to have awarded the infinity pool at the Hilton Pattaya which I recently reviewed, instead I chose to award Resort World in Las Vegas.
There are 3 different hotels of the Hilton group in this facility. This resort has pools suitable for all guests and more, as it is also one of the busiest pools in all of Las Vegas.
In conclusion
The world is full of beautiful pools, so I hope shortly to have enough material to make a new ranking. In the meantime, I am accepting suggestions: leave your suggestions in the comments.
