Volotea inaugurates new routes from Sicily to Toulouse, Santorini and Nantes. Also new to Venice and Olbia

Volotea recently inaugurated a series of new routes from Sicily to Toulouse, Santorini and Nantes, from the Emerald Coast to France, Spain and Italy, and from Venice to Oviedo.

From Sicily to Toulouse, Santorini and Nantes.

On May 26, the low-cost carrier inaugurated the New international route to Toulouse, capital of Occitania in southern France, while Thursday, June 1, will kick off the new flight to Santorini, the Greek island in the heart of the Aegean Sea.

The new connection to Toulouse will have 2 frequencies per week (every Tuesday and Friday), while the route to Santorini will have connections every Monday and Thursday, during the busiest periods. With these new routes, Volotea's offer at Falcone Borsellino includes 18 destinations, 7 in Italy and 11 international.

There are 18 destinations connected by Volotea to Palermo Airport, 7 in Italy (Ancona, Florence, Naples, Olbia, Turin, Venice and Verona), 8 in France (Deauville, Lille, Lyon, Lourdes/Tarbes, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg and Toulouse - New 2023) and 3 in Greece (Athens, Santorini - New 2023 and Zakynthos).

The new exclusive route departing from Catania to Nantes kicked off on May 26. With this connection, available every Monday and Friday, 9 destinations of the carrier become reachable from the Catania airport, 6 in Italy and 3 abroad.

With the new flight, Volotea further strengthens the Catania-France tourism axis. In fact, the carrier adds to its existing routes to Lourdes and Toulouse also Nantes, the gateway to Brittany and the island of Mont Saint-Michel, as well as being located a short distance from the UNESCO-protected castles of the Loire Valley. This new destination contributes to strengthening connectivity between two countries where the carrier already has an important presence, and with this new connection it aims to offer even more mobility to travelers.

From the Emerald Coast to France

As of May 26, the Volotea's new flights to France (Marseille, Nice and Paris Orly), the Spain (Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid and Valencia) e Italy (Florence). Not forgetting the launch of the new route to Toulouse (France) that was inaugurated a few days ago.

With these new routes, Volotea ranks first at Costa Smeralda in terms of the number of connected destinations: the total offer is 28 routes, 14 in Italy and 14 abroad, with about 1.1 million seats on sale. Just to meet the needs of busier traffic, for Summer 23 the company in Olbia has expanded its fleet from 2 to 3 180-seat Airbus 320 aircraft.

From Venice to Oviedo

On May 25, the the connection departing from Venice to Oviedo. The flight will be available with 2 weekly frequencies (every Monday and Thursday). This new destination brings the total number of connections to and from Marco Polo to 21, 7 in Italy and 14 abroad.

For the upcoming summer season, in addition to the 20 connections - between Italy, Greece, France and Spain - that are already active, passengers departing from Venice will have one more choice: they will be able to plan a vacation to Oviedo, a destination of great tourist appeal and gateway to visit the Principality of Asturias, one of the most beautiful and welcoming regions in all of Spain.
