Norse will fly daily from Rome to JFK Terminal 7 with its fleet of 787 Dreamliners outfitted in two economy cabins and with prices starting at €265 including taxes (but everything else excluded). Norse, born from the ashes of Norwegian, thus adds to the batch of carriers connecting Rome with North America.
The flight from Rome Fiumicino Airport leaves daily at 6:55 pm and lands in New York JFK at 10:30 pm. Flights from New York to Rome depart at 00:30 and land at 15:15 on the same day.
"We are excited to inaugurate our service between Rome and New York JFK, connecting two vibrant cities with deep historical and cultural ties. Our commitment to offering affordable long-haul travel experiences without compromising quality is at the core of Norse Atlantic Airways' vision. We look forward to welcoming passengers on board and offering them exceptional service and value on this exciting new route," said Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways.
Norse Atlantic offers two cabins, Economy and Premium. Passengers can choose from Light, Classic and Flextra, fares that reflect the way they wish to travel. Light fares represent Norse's economical option., the one where nothing is included. Flextra fares, in contrast, include the maximum baggage allowance, two meal services, a better airport and on-board experience, and greater ticket flexibility.
"We extend a warm welcome to Norse Atlantic Airways and a heartfelt thank you for adding Rome to its transatlantic flight network," said Ivan Bassato, Chief Aviation Officer of Aeroporti di Roma. "The inclusion of this flight to New York JFK helps strengthen the direct air offer to the United States, which will see record levels during the 2023 summer season. We are confident that the carrier's new offer model, together with the evening schedule that allows to take advantage of a full day in Rome before departure, will enrich the market with additional solutions that can intercept new market segments and stimulate additional demand on direct connections between Rome and the Big Apple."
