The commercial director, Sascha Feuerherd, said, "There is a strong demand from Milan to the Maldives for the premium service offered by Beond. The discerning Milanese will appreciate our offering, and we intend to exceed our customers' every expectation from the moment they book with us. We are grateful for the support we have received from Milan Malpensa Airport and look forward to potential expansion to other cities in Italy in due course."
Sales for flights from Milan will open in November. Otherwise, pending receipt of the A321ceo, the airline will begin operations with a Airbus A319 just painted in the new e44 livery all Business seats all fully reclining. The seats and cabin interiors, according to Beond's ceo, were designed and manufactured in Italy.
The carrier's first flights are scheduled for next month with a direct connection to Malé from Riyadh November 9, from Monaco November 15 and by Zurich November 17 (the latter two include the technical fuel stop in Dubai).
The Beond model
"We want to be a global airline for all luxury destinations. The Maldives also allowed us to obtain national carrier status and an air operator's certificate," Taskila told a press conference, "We are the only carrier that can fly up to 80 destinations departing from Male. Our business model is simple and economically sustainable. We offer a comfortable, detail-oriented luxury experience with a unique class of service. In addition, the seats are designed and manufactured in Italy, as are the interiors of the cabins."
The airline has opened the ticket sales for the first flights and the offer includes three types of call rates Delight, Bliss and Opulence.
All three provide fully reclining seats, and the same level of catering and entertainment on board. The differences are on other services: from the 40 kg of luggage to be checked in with Delight up to the 60 Kg for Opulence; going through fast track to lounge access to limousine transfer to the airport.
Meanwhile, the first livery was unveiled a few days ago, and judging by the photos posted on official channels, It seems to be close to the unveiling of the first plane, the one that will be used for the launch while waiting for other aircraft to be added to the fleet, all strictly narrow-body. A choice designed to keep down the costs of both building and maintaining a fleet that will need to be a minimum of 20 aircraft within the next five years to achieve its goals.
