Starting tomorrow, Dec. 13, passengers departing with ITA Airways from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Rome and Milan will have to watch out for a major change: The move from terminal 2F to 2B.
What changes
In this article:
Terminal 2 at the main Parisian airport is where Air France KLM, all Skyteam carriers and dozens of other carriers operate. As seen in the image above it consists of 7 sections.
The move will lead to a lot of walking for passengers transiting through the Parisian airport, both those coming from intercontinental destinations, i.e., terminal 2E with gates K,L,M and G, but also those in transit from Schengen routes since from terminal 2F one will have to cross the entire airport until arriving at 2B.
With the exception of Terminal 2G, which can only be reached by special people mover, all other areas can be reached by walking along the piers connecting the various areas.
No lounge at terminal 2B
If already today Paris Terminal 2. Is the least fortunate one in terms of lounge, there is no independent waiting room here, as of tomorrow status holders ( and business passengers) will lose access to the beautiful lounge in terminal 2F, probably the best in Europe Among the Schengen ones, Unless you have a lot of time on your hands.
Moving between the two terminals is possible, but we are talking about at least 15na minutes, perhaps more, of walking. There is an independent Extime lounge here, past security between terminals 2B/D, but according to lounge Buddy is not accessible with Priority Pass and, at the moment, on ITA's website, the directions still mention Skyteam lounges, i.e., Air France, present at the airport.
Waiting for the move to Terminal 1
If the deal with Lufthansa materializes. it is likely that this is only the first Parisian move for ITA Airways, Star Alliance carriers operate from T1, Here are also two lounges of the alliance in which Lufthansa is participating and where, sooner or later, ITA should also land.
In conclusion
ITA Airways changes terminals, from 2F to 2B, in Paris starting Dec. 13, will be a move that will change the habits of all Italian passengers traveling on the Italian airline's planes.
