After The one announced in recent days by Air Mauritius., another company has announced its return to Rome's Fiumicino airport, ending an absence that lasted several years. It is Biman Bangladesh, which from next March 26 will connect Fiumicino to Dhaka three times a week Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

From Rome it will take off to asia at 10:45 a.m. with arrival thirty minutes after midnight the following day. Biman has a fleet of 4 Boeing 787-8s, which are joined on long-haul by 2 Boeing 787-9s carrying 298 passengers (30 Business, 21 Premium Economy, 247 Economy) And 4 Boeing 777-300ERs with 419 seats (35 in Business, 384 in Economy), the plane with which Biman had last served Rome in 2016.
Known in the past for having an aging fleet (it had been World's last airline to retire DC-10s from service in 2013), the Bengali carrier has renewed itself considerably over the past decade and today boasts a fleet of 21 airplanes with an average age of just 9.5 years, of which include not only B787 and B777 but also 6 Boeing 737-800s and 5 Dash8-400s used on regional and domestic routes.
