Destinations on offer with Qatar from Venice
The promotion is inspired by the Silk Road, the most important trade route in history, which traversed Central Asia and the Middle East, connecting China to Asia Minor and the Mediterranean, passing through Japan and India. But an even more important relationship binds Venice to the East: it was in fact Marco Polo, the young Venetian merchant, who undertook the journey to the East along the Silk Road in 1271 to establish new trade relations between the two civilizations.
To retrace the steps of the famous traveler, it is possible to plan an itinerary that starts right from cosmopolitan Venice through the places of the past, meeting points between East and West. Among the destinations of this itinerary through history, the following cannot be missed Uzbekistan, reachable through Qatar Airways' new route to Tashkent, in the heart of Central Asia, a region known for its rich history and multiculturalism, shared with the neighboring countries of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The destination is the second city in Kazakhstan served by Qatar State National Airline in the Central Asian market after Almaty.
Also not to be missed on this trip is China, which can now be visited without a visa from Italy and where Qatar Airways flies 33 times a week to the most attractive destinations-Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Wenzhou, and Chongqing.
