The new lounge is located immediately after the passport control area of theHumberto Delgado Airport. Designed by Alma Design, the TAP Premium Lounge "Atlântico" offers passengers a space to gather, relax, and prepare for the rest of their trip that celebrates Portugal's cultural heritage and reflects the airline's sustainability strategy, including through the selection of local, sustainable, and authentic materials.
"Customer comfort is a priority for TAP, as is the variety of solutions, environments for work or relaxation, and the diversity of culinary offerings. TAP is constantly focused on improving the quality of customer service, this was the goal of the new lounge and now that we have achieved it we believe it will definitely be a good option for our customers with flights to South and North America, Africa or the UK," recalls Sofia Lufinha, TAP's Chief Customer Officer.
With Portuguese materials in the foreground, such as cork, burel-a Portuguese handcrafted fabric-and ceramics, echoing the typical facades of Portuguese houses, passengers will find environments to work or relax, as well as a dining area. The Ambaar company is in charge of management, while Cateringpor is collaborating on the implementation of the buffet area, which offers hot and cold meals inspired by Portuguese cuisine at all times of the day.
The warmth of Portuguese hospitality and hugs that precede each trip is also reinforced by the Temporary exhibitions of Portuguese artists curated by Underdogs, the urban art cultural platform based in Lisbon. The artists exhibiting over the next six months are Raquel Belli and Pedrita Studio, whose works are part of the universe of urban-inspired contemporary art, with works focusing on contemporary reinterpretations of Portuguese artistic language.
