Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has unveiled its new collection of amenity kits and loungewear [...]
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, presented the new collection of amenity kits and loungewear made in collaboration with the Italian fashion giant, Giorgio Armani - With whom he has been collaborating since 2023 - and with the wellness brand ESPA.Â
In this article:
Turky Al Hammadi, Head of Product and Hospitality at Etihad Airways, said.: "In addition to offering comfort, style, and luxury on board, our guests will take home their own co-branded Giorgio Armani amenity bag to use while traveling or at home. These bags are available in collectible colors and styles, which means frequent flyers can create their own personal Giorgio Armani collection. We are also very proud to present our guests with a free range of stylish and functional tote bags on longer flights in Economy. These bags will not only be a practical gift, but will help us further reduce single-use plastic".
The changes will affect passengers in all classes: sure, those flying in business or first-or, even, in "the residence"-will have everything and more, the best of the best; however, economy travelers (but only on long-haul flights lasting at least 6 hours) will also receive a small travel kit.
Let's find out, in detail, what passengers will receive.Â
Economy class
Economy travelers will be gifted with a tote bag, made from a recycled PET bottle: inside you will find all the essentials for a flight viz. hand cream (Beekman brand), earplugs and a eye mask.
Interestingly, then, the tote bags are available in 3 different patterns echoing Etihad's tail rudder livery (and also the special livery with Manchester City colors and the one with Greenliner colors).
Business class
Business class passengers, on the other hand, will receive a clutch and a soft cube-shaped handbag, both designed by Giorgio Armani and available in two colors. The clutch bag will feature a design - called "The Dunes" - reminiscent of the undulating sands of the Liwa Desert in Abu Dhabi. The cube bag, as mentioned, is soft and is designed to be stored easily inside backpacks or suitcases.
Inside each business class amenity kit, passengers will find various skin care products (all branded ESPA), eye mask, earplugs and a oral hygiene travel kit.
Business class travelers, then, will also have available (but only on flights of at least 9 hours) the New pajamas branded Etihad and Armani which, with its iconic "V" stitching on the chest, is inspired by traditional Emirati dress; and finally, slippers are a must.Â
First class and "The Residence"
We come to the centerpiece of the new collection.Â
Passengers flying first class or in "The Residence"-a real mini apartment, 35 thousand feet away, with a bedroom, living room, and bathroom with shower-will receive a large Giorgio Armani and Etihad branded wallet bag: Available in 2 colors, the bag contains the same products found in business class beauty kits; the difference is in the design and size of the bag, which can even hold a 13-inch laptop.
Finally, first and "The Residence" travelers will also be given Etihad's new loungewear (and slippers). The design, however, is different than the pajamas given in business: the pajamas of first, in fact, features a "henley" neckline (rounded collar and three-button front closure) and the print is inspired by the Abu Dhabi skyline.
Are you looking forward to receiving the new amenity kits? Well, you have to be patient: from the end of February will be progressively available on all Etihad-operated flights.
