The Bolzano-based company will offer passengers one connection a day, 7 out of 7, to Rome (FCO), two daily flights to Milan-Linate (on weekends, however, it will be reduced from 2 to 1) and two weekly flights to theNaples-Capodichino airport.
"SkyAlps is pleased to have been awarded the tender for continuity flights from Ancona's Raffaello Sanzio Airport and to be able to continue to guarantee flights to Milan, Rome and Naples, as these are very important connections for the area," explains Josef Gostner, President of SkyAlps. "Starting April 01, we will operate the flights with very efficient aircraft of the DASH-8 Q-400 type that will provide territorial continuity until mid-May."
"We are happy that SkyAlps has taken the opportunity to connect our area with the cities of Rome, Milan and Naples, and we hope that this partnership will develop over time. To this end, we are working side by side with the airline to provide the quality service to our passengers," says satisfied Alexander D'Orsogna, CEO of Ancona International Airport.
SkyAlps - which connects more than 20 European cities - will base one of its DASH-8 Q-400 in the Doric airport: in fact, the carrier's entire fleet consists only of this type of aircraft, turboprop for short- and medium-haul flights, which have a maximum capacity of 76 places and allow a emission savings up to 50%.
