Singapore Airlines updates its premium economy: new amenity kit and new culinary offerings

If you've ever happened to fly in premium economy with Singapore Airlines you already know it's a respectable product. However, "resting on one's laurels," as they say, is never a great idea, and SIA knows this well: that is why, as of March 31, 2024, the following will be available on flights operated by Singapore's national carrier A new culinary offering (as well as a new amenity kit) for passengers traveling in PE.

Yeoh Phee Teik, senior vice president of customer experience at Singapore Airlines, said.: "Since its introduction in 2015, Premium Economy Class has become popular with our customers. They appreciate the additional services, increased comfort and extra personal space it offers, all at a great value for money. At Singapore Airlines, however, our philosophy is to never stand still. We regularly gather customer feedback, conduct market research, and find innovative ways to continue to offer a personalized, top-notch flight experience. Based on this, we have decided to upgrade our offering for Premium Economy travelers".

The new culinary options

Premium economy passengers - Who shortly after takeoff will be able to enjoy a glass of champagne Charles de Cazanove Brut Tradition NV - Will receive a full meal: a appetizer of the season, main course, bread, dessert e snacks; as for the main course you will be able to choose between two options, international or Asian cuisine. Not only that: customers will also be able to use the "Book the Cook" service through which they will have the opportunity to choose (at least 24 hours before departure) from as many as 20 dishes.

Okay, we have ascertained that there is no starvation: but What do you drink in Singapore's new premium economy? There is a selection of wines and bubbles curated by SIA's expert sommeliers: in addition to champagne Charles de Cazanove Brut Tradition NV customers can opt for the Wairau River Sauvignon Blanc 2023 or for the St Hallett Faith Shiraz 2022; passengers will also enjoy a wide selection of spirits including whiskey, gin, vodka, signature cocktails such as the Singapore Sling And a wide variety of beers.
If you are a teetotaler, no problem, there is an equally wide selection of soft drinks: you can sip peppermint and chamomile tea or Cadbury's hot chocolate, or fruit juices, or even fizzy drinks. 

The new courtesy kit

Singapore Airlines also unveiled new amenity kits for premium economy passengers: made in collaboration "Out of the Woods" - a U.S. company that makes eco-friendly products - the new courtesy kits include. An eye mask, slippers and lip cream; the other toiletries will be available, as before, in the toilets. To keep in mind, however the new kits will be available only on flights that last at least 7 hours and only upon request.
