Uzbekistan Airways, Uzbekistan's national airline, announced a new flight linking Rome and the two cities at the gateway to the Silk Road, Tashkent e Urgench.

The new flight, operational since last April 7, 2024, is in addition to those already operated by the carrier: it will take off from Rome-Fiumicino every Sunday at 9:20 p.m. and will land in Tashkent, the Uzbek capital, at 6:20 a.m. the following day (local time); on the reverse leg, however, it will depart at 2 p.m. from the capital, make a stop in Urgench, and at 4:45 p.m. leave for Rome in which it will arrive at 7 p.m. (local time).
The new flight, Uzbek carrier managers point out, is being introduced to pander to the needs of the many travelers who want to visit Uzbekistan with maximum convenience.
"With the connection to Rome, our weekly flights to Uzbekistan from Italy increase to 3. Italy is one of the key markets for Uzbekistan Airways, not only for outbound traffic to Uzbekistan, which is very important to us, but also for the growing number of Uzbek and Asian passengers who choose to fly with Uzbekistan Airways to visit your beautiful country. We are confident that in light of the positive results of this summer season, Uzbekistan Airways will activate additional frequencies to/from Italy and Rome in the future," comments Sergey Shirov, Regional Manager of Uzbekistan Airways.

Uzbekistan Airways, to celebrate the new connection, launched a promotional rate of €488, round trip, excluding taxes.
