The ranking of the world's best low-cost

In this article:

In this article we focus on low-cost airlines: which is the best according to Skytrax? Air Asia, which Achieves the coveted award for the 14th consecutive year; the Kuala Lumpur-based carrier, moreover, also won in the "Best Low-Cost Airlines in Asia 2024" category.

Also on the podium of the best low-costs are. Scoot, who takes second place, and Volotea, which receives the bronze medal; followed, then, by Flynas (in 4th place), Transavia (in 5th), IndiGo (6th), Vueling (7th), airBaltic (8th), Iberia Express (9th) and Ryanair (at 10th position).

I honestly wouldn't put airBaltic in this category, I consider it a carrier a step above low-cost carriers.

Scoot triumphs in "best long-haul low-cost airlines" category

In the category of "best long-haul low-cost carriers" triumphs. Scoot, the low-cost airline controlled by Singapore Airlines, for the fourth consecutive year; silver medal, then, for Jetstar and lowest step of the podium for Norse Atlantic.

Air Canada Rouge (in 4th place) closes the ranking, ZIP AIR (at 5th), Air Asia X (6th), LEVEL (7th), Cebu Pacific (8th), French Bee (9th) and Discover Airlines (at position No. 10).

Best low-cost airlines in Europe: gold medal for Volotea

È an almost entirely Spanish podium: Volotea not only, as mentioned, achieves an excellent third place in the global ranking of the best low-cost airlines (as well as the first prize in the category "Best Low-Cost Airline in Southern Europe"), but also wins the prestigious gold medal in the "best low-cost in Europe" category for the second year in a row; in second place, however, we find Transavia, while on the lowest step of the podium is. Vueling.

Rounding out the rankings of the best low-cost carriers operating in the Old Continent are airBaltic (coming in at No. 4), Iberia Express (taking 5th place), Ryanair (No. 6), easyJet (No. 7), Jet2.com (No. 8), Eurowings (No. 9) and PLAY (in 10th place).
