For Skytrax, it is Qatar the 'best company in the world'. All the top 10 and surprises in the top 100

E' Qatar Airways the best airline in the world. This was decreed by the British rating agency. Skytrax during the 25th edition of its Awards, the commercial aviation industry's most prestigious awards.

The Qatar carrier achieves this recognition for the eighth time, more than any other company and smashed the Skytrax Awards with three other prestigious awards for the 'Best Business Class in the World', 'Best business class lounge in the world' and (of course) 'Best company in the Middle East'.

We look forward to continuing to serve our customers with the highest level of excellence," commented Qatar Airways CEO Badr Mohammed Al-Meer.

Doha-based airline moves ahead of Singapore Airlines in top 10 world's best carriers, which led the world rankings last year, in what is now becoming an alternation that no other company in the world seems able to interrupt, considering that in 2022 it was Qatar that was watching everyone from above.

On the lowest step of the podium was Emirates., which had finished in fourth place a year ago.

The other seven companies that make up Skytrax's Top 10 in 2024 are the same as in 2023, with one change: the entry of Swiss, in 10th place, and the exit of Korean Air Who in 2023 had placed her in 10th place.

Analyzing the individual positions from fourth to ninth, we find the Japanese All Nippon Airways in fourth place (it was third in 2023), followed by to the fifth from Cathay Pacific (which makes a big leap, probably thanks to the highly anticipated Aria Suites, from eighth place last year), from Japan Airlines on the sixth (she was fifth), from Turkish Airlines on the seventh (she was sixth), from Eva Air in the eighth (she was ninth) and by Air France in ninth place.

Deferring to an in-depth ITA, In the positions behind the Top 10 there are four European companies: British Airways, which makes a big jump from 18th to 13th position, Iberia 15th (was 14th), Virgin Atlantic 17th (was 22nd), Lufthansa 18th (was 21st in 2023).

Two companies, if you will 'minor' (by fleet' and by name), are confirmed to be among the best in the world: Fiji Airways in 14th place (it was 15th in 2023) and India's Vistara, which confirms its 16th place.

To find the first American (stars and stripes) one must go down to the 21st place occupied by Delta Airlines, while United Airlines stopped at 42nd place, followed by Alaska Airlines at 60th, American Airlines at 78th, and Hawaiian at 99th.

Striking the 7 positions lost by Qantas which slips from 17th to 24th place, overtaken in Oceania not only by Fiji Airways but also by Air New Zealand (22nd).
