From Malpensa will take off at 11:10 p.m. to arrive in Malé at 1:15 p.m. the following day with a night flight that previsions a stopover for refueling at the airport in Dubai World Central. Instead, departure from Malè is scheduled at 1:15 p.m. and landing at Malpensa at 10:10 p.m., with an all-day flight, again with a technical stopover (during which passengers remain on board) in Dubai.
Refueling (which involves a stop in Dubai of about an hour) is necessary due to the fact that the flight is operated with an Airbus A319 which does not have sufficient range to connect Europe and the Maldives nonstop.
On board the plane are. only 44 seats in an all-business configuration with 4-seat rows (2+2) e seats that turn into beds.
A dinner is planned after takeoff from Malpensa and a breakfast (more like a hearty brunch) on the leg between Dubai and Malé. On the return, a lunch between Malé and Dubai and a snack between Dubai and Milan.
L'Inflight entertainment is available through Ipads that are distributed to passengers, with video and audio content.
Beond has three round-trip fares between Milan and Malé: the 'Delight' which, thanks to a favorable euro/dollar exchange rate, is now by 1,750 euro round trip and entitles you to a 40kg checked baggage allowance, a 10kg carry-on baggage allowance, and fast track, but not to lounge access at Malpensa and Malé and free choice of seat on board.
La 'Bliss,' at 2,022 euros., adds lounge access at the two airports and free choice of seat on board (except for row 1 and row 5, which offer more leg and foot room when the seat is horizontal).
La 'Opulence', finally, for 2,297 euros guarantees 60kg baggage allowance in the hold, 15kg for that in the cabin, free change of reservation, and transportation by private car and driver from home to the scheduled airport up to a distance of 50km from Malpensa.
