Marriott will open 3 new Moxy Hotels: the Roxy Annecy and the Roxy Paris Clamart will open later this year, while the Moxy Nice is scheduled to open by the end of 2025. To date, the Moxy banner has 9 facilities in France, with a total of nearly 1,500 rooms.
By 2025, then, Marriott also intends to open other facilities: the Residence Inn by Marriott Lill, Courtyard by Marriott Lyon East, and Aloft Dijon, an interesting project involving the conversion and subsequent reuse of an old post office; finally, in the premium segment, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel will rise in Mougins.
"Conversion and reuse projects represent nearly half of our properties expected to join the Marriott portfolio in France by the end of 2025. These projects allow us not only to add hotels in key urban center locations but also to demonstrate our expertise and flexibility in finding innovative solutions to adapt existing buildings while creating fantastic guest experiences," explains Alexandra Goguet, Marriott group vice president of development for France and Benelux.
And still on the subject of redevelopment projects, Marriott aims to strengthen its luxury portfolio in France with the long-awaited opening-scheduled by 2024-of theHotel du Couvent, a Luxury Collection Hotel, of Nice: built in 1604 as a convent, today, after more than 4 centuries and after a deep and major renovation in collaboration with Studio Mumbai, Studio Méditerranée and Festen Architecture-it has become a luxury hotel with 88 rooms, including rooms and suites.
Currently, in France, Marriott has 69 facilities and 16 signs in its portfolio: The Luxury Collection, JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Le Méridien, Westin, Renaissance Hotels, Autograph Collection Hotels, Tribute Portfolio, Design Hotels, Residence Inn by Marriott, Aloft Hotels, AC Hotels by Marriott, Moxy Hotels, Courtyard by Marriott, and Marriott Vacation Club.
