Miles&More also launches "award ticket only" flights: first destination Cape Town

The idea is simple Fly a plane with only passengers on board who have paid for tickets using loyalty points from the frequent flyer program. The first destination will be a flight from Munich to Cape Town and back. All seats on board, from business to economy will be sold only with Miles&More points. Miles&More community award, all the details

Next November 17, Lufthansa flight LH570 from Munich to Cape Town will take off, while December 2 will be the turn of flight LH571 from Cape Town to Munich. The A350 could be of those equipped with the Allegris cabin, according to the route schedule the A350s equipped with the new cabins are expected to debut in late October on the route to Cape Town.

Tickets can be obtained from starting next July 11, but prices for the different options have already been announced, and what makes this initiative even more attractive is the absence of taxes and surcharges, since as LH explains on the page dedicated to the initiative, "The price is inclusive of all surcharges and does not include any approach flights."

• Economy Class: 30,000 miles
• Premium Economy Class: 45,000 miles
• Business Class: 75,000 miles

Round-trip prices

• Economy Class: 60,000 miles
• Premium Economy Class: 90,000 miles
• Business Class: 150,000 miles

In conclusion

"Exclusive gate event in Munich, special in-flight service and other moments to remember" it seems that LH will make this flight even more special for lucky passengers. Given the time, high season for South Africa, and the lower-than-normal cost in addition to zero surcharges it will be a really nice opportunity to spend the accumulated M&M points.
