Aeroitalia announced the opening of its eighth base of operations, the first one outside the Peninsula: it is about Bacau, in Romania; it is the second international destination, after Bucharest, offered by the Italian carrier.

As of From next August 12, it will be possible to fly to Bacau by Rome (FCO), Milan-Bergamo (BGY) e Wedge, but also from Catania, Palermo, Olbia, Alghero and Comiso via Fiumicino.
Flights from Rome to Bacau will have 10 weekly frequencies; there will, however, be 5 weekly flights from Bergamo-Orio al Serio and 2, finally, frequencies from Cuneo to the Romanian city.
Aeroitalia currently flies on 15 Italian airports (Alghero, Bergamo, Bologna, Catania, Comiso, Cuneo, Lamezia Terme, Lampedusa, Milan, Olbia, Palermo, Perugia, Pisa, Rome, Verona) and has a fleet of 12 Aircraft, 10 Boeing 737s (in the -700 and -800 versions) and 2 ATR 72-600.
