Ethiopian Airlines, the national airline of Ethiopia as well as Africa's largest, announced that effective From December 1 will increase flights by Rome (FCO) to Addis Ababa (ADD).

Ethiopian currently offers one connection a day from the capital: taking off from Fiumicino at 11:40 p.m. and landing at Addis Ababa airport the following morning at 07:10 a.m. (local time). From December 1, however, the Friday, the Saturday and the Sunday the night flight will be joined by another in the morning: departure from FCO is scheduled at 06:00 and arrival in ADD is scheduled for 13:40. The connection will be operated a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner set up in two classes, business and economy.
Undoubtedly good news for passengers who are looking for vacation destinations or for anyone planning to reconnect with friends and family for the holiday season.
Ethiopian Airlines operates a fleet of 137 aircraft: 20 Airbus A350-900s, 29 Boeing 787s (in -800 and -900 variants), 4 B777-300ERs, 6 B777-200LRs, 46 Boeing 737s (in -NG, MAX and -800 versions) and 32 Dash 8-400s (for domestic routes).
