A beautiful initiative of theCristoforo Colombo" airport in Genoa: from July 4 last all young travelers flying from the Ligurian airport for the first time get a "baptism of flight" certificate.
In this article:
Created by Genoa Airport with the collaboration of. Flying Angels Foundation, it is not only a nice memory for young passengers but also (and especially) a practical help for girls and boys who need to fly to life-saving care.
To apply for the "baptism of flight" certificate, it will be enough to go - on the day of your flight departure - to the ticket office in the departure area: the certificate, then, will be issued in exchange for a small donation in favor of, precisely, Flying Angels. For those unfamiliar, the Flying Angels foundation is the only nonprofit organization that specializes in organizing life-saving air transfers for critically ill children worldwide.
Since December last year, The Flight Club also supports the foundation. As the Poodle wrote in a dedicated article., every item sold through our shop will generate a donation of miles to the foundation. Depending on the item users buy, then, one or more Flying Angels miles will be donated: currency, this, that the foundation will use to redeem airline tickets that will allow thousands of girls and boys to continue to grow, rejoice, and most importantly live.
