Thanks to this codeshare strengthening, travelers - both leisure and business travelers - from both companies will have more travel options: our country will be more accessible to Croatia Airlines' passengers, and ITA, for its part, will be able to increase traffic flows between the Boot and the Balkan peninsula country.

ITA Airways - as it did before the agreement was extended - will continue to apply its 'AZ' code on Croatia Airlines-operated flights departing from Rome-Fiumicino and directed to Zagreb, Split e Dubrovnik; Croatia Airlines, on the other hand, as of July 15, may apply the code 'OU' on domestic routes operated by ITA between Rome (FCO) and Palermo, Bologna, Florence e Naples; the passengers of the Croatian carrier, in short, will have more choices. Codeshare flights can already be booked either through the companies' websites or through travel agencies.
Croatia Airlines, founded 35 years ago under the name "Zagreb Airlines," today operates a fleet of 13 Aircraft (7 Airbus A320 family aircraft and 6 DHC Dash 8 turboprops), flies to 34 destinations (including two in Italy, Rome-Fiumicino and Milan-Malpensa) and is a member of Star Alliance.
ITA Airways, on the other hand, during summer 2024 offers. 57 destination, including 16 domestic, 26 international and 15 intercontinental.
