We all remember well the announcements that Tony Scoot, CEO of Riyadh Air, has done since the company was born: "the first class Will not be on board our aircraft", "We will abolish crew uniforms".
In this article:
Lo and behold, while for first class he has kept his word (also adding that "in the market Riyadh Air's business will surpass some of the firsts in the world"), when it comes to uniforms he has gone back on his heels.
Riyadh Air has finally unveiled its new uniforms.
A handful of days ago, in fact, as part of Paris Couture Week Riyadh Air unveiled the new uniforms For cabin crew: made in collaboration with the Saudi brand ASHI Studio, Riyadh's "fashion line" (that's what the carrier calls its line of uniforms) draws on the style of uniforms of the 1950s, considered the golden age of aviation.

Cashmere outerwear, suits and pants made from fine wool, leather footwear, and the iconic 'tambourine' hats: these are some of the most characteristic elements of the dozens of looks presented by Riyadh Air.

The predominant color of the new uniforms, just like that of the livery, is the purple: the hue is more 'electric' for the women's line, while it is darker for the men's wear; these purplish tones, Riyadh Air points out, pay homage to the lavender fields of Saudi Arabia.
In conclusion
It's less and less until the first flight of the new Saudi airline, scheduled for 2025: by this year, however, Riyadh Air is expected to unveil - finally - the cabin fittings of its aircraft (about 40 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners have been ordered). At this point the anticipation is high.
