For the past few weeks, in fact, the connection has started Cairo-Milan Bergamo operated by Nile Air, Egypt's largest private airline, second only to the national carrier EgyptAir.
The new flight is operated with an Airbus A320 configured in two classes of service: business class (with 8 seats) and economy (with 156). The following are provided 3 weekly frequencies for this route: on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Departure from BGY is scheduled for 9:20 p.m., while arrival in Cairo is scheduled at 2:00 a.m. (local time); on the reverse route, however, it will take off at 5:10 p.m. from Cairo International Airport and touch down on the runway at the Bergamo airport at 8:10 p.m. (local time).
Nile Air, with this connection, will thus compete with Air Arabia, the only carrier that until now connected (with a direct flight) the Milan-Bergamo airport with Egypt (both Cairo, daily, and Alexandria of Egypt, once a week).
Nile Air, founded in 2006, has a fleet of 6 Aircraft: 4 Airbus A320s and 2 A321s.
