One of the world's oldest companies is ready to lower its wings forever, Czech Airlines founded in the early 1920s has come to an end. Ironically, the last flight will be operated 48h before celebrating 101st birthday since the first flight dates back to Oct. 29, 1923.

There is no sign of the official announcement on the FB page, however, which is stopped at 2022 just as stopped are the profiles on X and Instagram, but the biggest clue is on the company's website, in the section dedicated to the Ok Plus loyalty program.
As stated on the website on October 26, 2024, the last day of the summer calendar, the loyalty program will cease to exist and will not be replaced.
CSA was one of the founding members of Iata and also a member of the ally SkyTeam. Until October 26 it will be possible to use the points for award flights, but from the next day the profiles will be reset and the points will disappear forever, as will the company.
Fleet and routes will switch to Smartwing, the Prague-based low-cost airline that has owned since 2017 the national airline of the Czech Republic and which has tried several times in recent years to revive, without success, the brand. So now the epilogue is coming, and from European skies will probably disappear one of the oldest liveries in the world.
