Review Hampton Inn Kuwait Salmiya, perfect for exploring the city

In my wanderings around the world I ended up, On the occasion of my "firsts" trip. Kuwait. Initially I was only supposed to stay one night, but I ended up spending two full days and, as is my habit, I stayed in two different hotels.
In this article:

Of course I could have aimed for ultra-luxury insignia, considering that they have very affordable prices in this area of the world, but instead I aimed for two "budget friendly" establishments of the Hilton group, and the first thing I discovered was that they were not that cheap.
Reservation
Every year, to renew the Diamond level, I need 30 stays (or alternatively 60 nights or 100k qualifying points) the path of stays, for me is the easiest one. It doesn't matter the cost of the room, just do 30 check-outs and you cross the finish line. Of course, you have to book via app or site, or via Hilton impresario, but only for luxury facilities.

The room cost me, in X2 rate, about 120 euros. The counter-value in points I didn't even look at, I wasn't interested in burning points for such a stay. Other than that I set up the reservation as a "business trip" and earned me extra points and double qualifying nights.
Location

We are not in the center, but we are on the promenade leading to Kuwaut Towers, the nation's landmark, from here you can easily move to all the more touristy areas of the capital.
Check-in
I arrived directly from the airport with the private chauffeur service offered by Kuwait Air to all business and first passengers. The trip from the airport took a good 20 minutes or so.

Needless to say, I tried to teleport from the car to the hotel lobby, even though it was midnight the heat was insane.

The lobby is tiny and I was the only guest in the area when I arrived. After the pleasantries, the attendant apologized for not upgrading to a suite; I didn't even expect a Hampton Inn to have suites, but he told me that I had been promoted to the top floor, 20th, with a better room than the one booked.
The room
The hotel is a 20-story tower overlooking the Arabian Gulf, the Salmiya neighborhood is a mix of residential, tourist and administrative.

When I got to the room I could only imagine the view from the window since in the dark I could not perceive whether the desert or the sea was in front.

The room is beautiful, spacious, and attention to detail.
The difference between Hampton Inn in the U.S. and the rest of the world is abysmal, as Compare a 1960s Skoda to one that just came off the assembly line.
Queen bed, but for one person it's just fine. Corner sofa, great for laying suitcases on and mega TV screen.
Very nice choice of bar fridge and kettle, both immaculate and SMEG.
Bathroom in the standard, with even some useful personal care kits.
Excellent room technology, little imagination and lots of substance. Including outlets near the bedside table and A button that turned off all the lights Of the chamber.
The hotel

The facility does not offer much, but it's not a resort so it has everything you need.
There is a small gym on the 6th floor and a Starbucks on the ground floor. Just too bad you can't put frappuccino on the room bill.
Perhaps what he sends is a larger hall, there are only three small sofas co-habiting with the Starbucks, and since it is not recommended to stay outside, it would have been better to think of a more welcoming space for guests in the 100-plus rooms.
Food & Beverage
La breakfast in the hotels of this sign is always included in the room, and I must say that there was everything you could need to start your day off on the right foot.
It is served in the restaurant on the second floor of the tower, beautiful view of the sea, a perfect way to start the day.
In conclusion

Judging from hotel prices, Kuwait, even in the off-season, has average high prices compared to the rest of the Gulf. About this facility nothing to say. Impeccable staff, perfect room and incredible view of the "richest" gulf in the world.

Pro
- The structure
- The view
Against
- No social spaces
- High price
