From the skies to the rails: as we have written in recent months, Millemiglia - Alitalia's former loyalty program - Has been purchased by Trenitalia. Since then, more than 5 months have passed during which the rail transport company has activated several cross promotions between MyMiglia and CartaFRECCIA, the high-speed FF.

The statusmatch CartaFRECCIA
At the moment, and until September 15, there is a Interesting promotion affecting Millemiglia members: anyone who has had-between October 14, 2021 and July 10, 2024-a status can get a double benefit of joining one of the MilleMiglia Exclusive Clubs and receiving the equivalent status in the CartaFRECCIA program.
To do so, it will be enough to accumulate miles, including with Millemiglia partners: with 1000 miles, you will gain access to the Ulysses Club and get the SilverFRECCIA Card; with 2000, you will have access to the Winged Arrow Club and be eligible for the CartaFRECCIA Oro; with 3000 miles, finally, you will open the doors of the Winged Arrow Plus Club and obtain the PlatinumFRECCIA Card.

Millemiglia partners are many, about 40 or so: Trenitalia, AirEuropa, Avis, AirFrance, just to name a few.
What are the benefits of statuses?
With the Ulysses Club, you are also entitled to the SilverFRECCIA Card. which offers: 10% more points for each trip, entrance to FRECCIAClub lounges, Fast Track (in Milan-Central and Rome-Termini stations), 2 free upgrades, 10 euro discount for every 300 points.
Thanks to the status match, as mentioned, if you have the Winged Arrow level you also get the GoldFRECCIA Card, whose benefits are: dedicated support service on WhatsApp, entry (for the holder and a companion) into the FRECCIALounge, 25% extra points for each trip, fast track (active at Milano Centrale and Roma-Termini), 3 free upgrades, reservation change (if the purchased ticket allows travel from 1 hour before and up to 1 hour after the departure of the booked train, it is possible to change the reservation directly on board without paying penalties), €10 discount for every 300 points.
If you get the Winged Arrow Plus status, you also automatically get the PlatinumFRECCIA Card offering: free dedicated call center, the 50% of extra points for each trip, purchase on board the train without penalty (you will need to check seat availability with the train conductor before boarding, access to the meeting area (available in Frecciarossa by presenting your business ticket and your CartaFRECCIA Platino),
Fast Track (available at Rome-Termini and Milan-Central stations), access to the Onboard Lounge, free youth escort service on board, €10 discount for every 300 points.
How to get Millemiglia points
The former Alitalia loyalty program still has many partnerships in place, so getting the few miles needed will not be difficult, even without spending anything.
Points can be moved such as from the SocioCoop card, Payback card to Nexi IoSI points, which can still be moved to Millemiglia. Or new transactions can be made and the necessary points generated by the Sept. 13 date.
Terms and conditions
- All MilleMiglia Members who had access to Exclusive Clubs from October 14, 2021 to July 10, 2024 participate in the initiative.
- The initiative allows Target Members to obtain MilleMiglia status and, consequently, the corresponding CartaFRECCIA status by accumulating miles with all MilleMiglia Program Partners from July 12 to September 15, 2024:
- 3,000 miles for the Winged Arrow Plus Club and for theFRECCIA Platinum Card
- 2,000 miles for the Winged Arrow Club and GoldFRECCIA Card
- 1,000 miles for Ulysses Club and SilverFRECCIA Card. - Any Member may participate in the initiative to gain access to a higher Exclusive Club and corresponding CartaFRECCIA status. Winged Arrow Plus Members will be able to participate to obtain CartaFRECCIA Platinum status.
- The MilleMiglia status obtained will be valid until January 31, 2025, and the corresponding CartaFRECCIA status will follow the validity of the statuses provided in the CartaFRECCIA program.
- Miles registered in ItaliaLoyalty's systems from July 12, 2024 to September 15, 2024 are valid for the purposes of the initiative.
- Exclusive Bonus miles and bonus miles, awarded by the MilleMiglia Program or Partners, for participation in other promotional initiatives are not valid for the purposes of the initiative, unless provided for in the regulations of the initiatives themselves.
- It is the Member's responsibility to verify that the miles have been credited to his or her account and, if necessary, to apply for the missing miles as indicated on mymiglia.com on the Partner pages.
- CartaFRECCIA status will be assigned to the CartaFRECCIA code entered by the Member in his or her MilleMiglia Profile.
- The recognition of the statuses obtained through participation in this initiative will take place at the end of the initiative and in any case by September 30, 2024 for MilleMiglia status and by October 31, 2024 for CartaFRECCIA status .
- To manage the initiative, Italia Loyalty will share with Trenitalia the CartaFRECCIA code provided by the Member and the MilleMiglia status obtained through the initiative.
