As happened after the events of October 7, flight blockades by many companies were triggered yesterday, August 1, and it is a safe bet that even those who have not yet done so will follow shortly.
"Due to geopolitical developments in the Middle East and in order to preserve the safety of its passengers and crews, Ita Airways has decided," reads a statement published on the Italian airline's website.
The suspension of flights is global. Both Delta and United immediately suspended flights from the U.S. to Tel Aviv, just as Lufthansa Group announced the suspension of all flights to Tel Aviv, until August 8. Air France KLM, Turkish Airlines, low-cost carriers and many other carriers have also decided to pause flights for the coming week.
Chaos also in Lebanon with suspension of flights to Beirut by all European airlines flying to the capital. As happened in late 2023 the only carriers that will continue to fly are the flag carriers.
