During the summer of 2025, there will be as many as 19 direct flights from Italy to Canada: Air Transat, specifically, will offer connections to Toronto and Montréal from 3 Italian airports, viz. Rome, Venice e Lamezia Terme; it will also be possible to reach Cancun (from Rome and Venice) and Lima (from Rome only) with a connection in Toronto or Montréal.

The May 2 connections from Venice to Montréal will start (2 flights per week); on the same day, connections from Rome to Montréal will also start (5 per week; one per day, then, from June 20). On the following day, however, flights from Rome and Venice to Toronto will take off: from the capital there will be 5 weekly frequencies (becoming 7 from June 21), while from Venice one flight per week will be offered (becoming 2 from June 24). The June 26, finally, the Lamezia Terme-Toronto will also depart: Air Transat will offer a weekly flight for this route.
Air Transat operates a fleet of 37 aircraft: 7 Airbus A321, 15 A321neoLR, 2 Boeing 737-MAX 8, 11 Airbus A330-200 and 2 A330-300. Flights from Italy to Canada are operated with the A330 configured in two classes of service: 346 seats in economy and 12 in club class.
The following are available 3 economy rates: 'eco budget', the cheapest fare that includes only one carry-on bag; 'eco standard', which includes a 23kg checked baggage allowance; 'eco flex', which includes a 23kg baggage, free seat selection, flight modification and refund without penalty.
2, on the other hand, the club class rates: 'standard club' (2 checked bags 23 kg, paid seat on board, gourmet meals, priority check-in, priority baggage, priority security, change with penalty, refundable with penalty) and 'flex club' (2 23 kg checked bags included, seat included in fare, gourmet meals, priority check-in, priority baggage, priority security, change and refundable without penalty). Meals and carry-on baggage are always included in all economy and club class fares.
