Of course our community is not representative of the entire frequent flyer world, but given the number of members and the amount of responses, it is still a fairly representative sample.
Curiosities
Before going down the ranking two data points that emerged from this survey.
- 167 readers, or slightly more than 3% of the voters, confessed that they did not distinguish between different aircraft models, considering them basically "all the same." This group is probably not into the technical details of aviation, but they are nonetheless an important part of our travel community; for these people it is getting to the destination and not the vehicle that matters.
- Just over 2% of readers are nostalgic for aviation of yesteryear, iconic models that made their mark on aviation in the 1970s and 1980s. With 128 votes, the category that includes the Airbus A340, the Boeing 757 and the Boeing 767 still has a following of enthusiasts. These planes, though being decommissioned, have marked decades of intercontinental and medium flights. Their retirement represents the end of an era, but for many they remain aviation icons and fortunately are not yet completely extinct.

The dreamliner at the foot of the podium

The "triple 7" far from the top

In conclusion
Our survey revealed a deep and varied passion. From sky giants such as the A380 to smaller ATRs, each has its place in the heart of the community.
Certainly among the options were not the Concorde and the C919, or the first aircraft made in China, the first because it was an iconic medium, but not at all related to the Italian market, and the second Because right now it only flies to China And with very few specimens.
Despite innovations and new arrivals in the aviation world, readers also continue to look longingly at models that are now leaving the skies, demonstrating that aviation is more than just a means of transportation-it is an experience that fascinates and inspires.
