A few weeks ago colleague Matteo Legnani wrote about the most 'exotic' (and, perhaps, even the most beautiful) A380s around: it is about 3 Super Jumbo - whose names are 'Flying Honu - Lani' (Blue Turtle), 'Flying Honu - Kai' (Green Turtle) and 'Flying Honu - Ra' ('Orange Turtle') - who are part of the fleet of All Nippon Airlines And they fly only on one route, the Tokyo (NRT)-Honolulu (HNL).
In this article:
The small number evidently makes them rare, the route in which they fly as well: even more so when we consider that ANA, in recent hours, announced that during the winter 2025 Tokyo-Honolulu frequencies will decrease.
From January 11 to March 29, specifically, the following will be spent 14 to 10 flights per week: Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays take off from Tokyo at 8:35 p.m. and land on the island of Oahu at 8:25 a.m. (local time); on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, however, there is a second flight whose departure from Narita is scheduled for 9:30 p.m., while the arrival in Honolulu is scheduled for 9:20 a.m. (local time).
ANA's three super-colored A380s are configured in 4 classes of service: first (8 places), business (56 places), premium economy (73) and economy class (383), with a total of 520 passengers. The main deck contains all tourist class seats, while the upper deck contains PE, business (which have a 1-2-1 layout) and the 8 first class suites.
