Summer 2024 draws to a close but there are those who, rightly, are already beginning to think about the next one: it is news in recent hours that American Airlines announced two new direct flights from our country to the USA.

There are two months to consider: May e July 2025. In the former, to be precise May 24, direct flights will start by Milan to Philadelphia: operations will include one flight per day throughout the summer, with departure from MXP scheduled at 1:35 p.m. and arrival scheduled for 4:40 p.m. (local time); on the reverse leg, it will take off from PHL at 9:15 p.m. and land at Milan's Silvio Berlusconi at 11:20 a.m. the following morning. The aircraft used for this route will be the Boeing 787-8 'Dreamliner' configured in 3 classes of service: business ('Super diamond' or 'Concept D'), premium economy and economy class.
The direct flight from Milan to Philadelphia, in place through the summer of 2025, is in addition to the MXP-JFK operational year-round; in addition to that, passengers will be able to continue from Philadelphia to numerous destinations in the U.S., Canada or the Caribbean.

The news, as anticipated, does not end there: From July 6, connections will start from Rome (FCO) to Miami: Again, as with the MXP-PHL, there is one flight per day, with departure from the Capital scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and arrival in Florida scheduled for 7:25 p.m. (local time); takeoff from Miami, however, will be at 7:35 p.m. and landing in Fiumicino will be at 11:55 a.m. the following morning (local time).
Passengers who choose to fly this route with AA will do so aboard the Boeing 777-200ER outfitted with 3 cabins: business ('Super diamond' or 'Concept D'), premium economy and economy class.
With the introduction of this new flight, they will become 6 destinations offered by American Airlines from Rome-Fiumicino: New York (JFK), Chicago (ORD), Philadelphia (PHL), Charlotte (CLT), Dallas (DFW) and Miami (MIA).
