The PSFF is nothing more than. One of the leading international short film festivals in southern Italy: sponsored by the Presidency of the European Parliament, RAI, SIAE, the Ministry of the South and Territorial Cohesion, the Ministry of Culture, the Campania Region, the Province of Salerno, and co-financed by the City of Battipaglia, the Festival is organized by the Association ACT Production, a body that has been working in the field of culture since 2016 and counts among its commitments the promotion of the cinema sector through events all over Italy; very interesting, then, is the fact that the association is composed of very young people from all over Italy, aged between 16 and 37.
The goal? Not one, but two, as the organizers explain: "Bring cinema where cinema-essentially-isn't and be the home of independent cinema".
The theme of the eighth edition of PSFF: the Metaverse
The metaverse will be the main theme of this eighth edition of the Picentia Short Film Festival: the goal is to analyze, through the eyes of the cinematographer, the world around us; a world that is not only physical but also - and above all - digital. The Metaverse, with ideally unlimited spaces, preponderantly expands all perspectives of production and enjoyment of content, not only film, but media in its entirety. New means and new working conditions: there is, therefore, a need to question how and when.

Not only cinema: many activities, discussions and workshops. The Flight Club will be present
During the 4-day event, there will be room for many activities: literary presentations with the most prominent authors of the moment, but also many workshop as well as meetings dedicated to schools (More than 1,000 male and female students are expected to participate). Also in attendance will be The Flight Club: on Thursday, Sept. 26, one of the special guests will be the Poodle, who will answer questions to school boys and girls and tell them when, how and why TFC was born.
