"Our expansion into Europe marks a significant milestone for Malaysia Airlines. With the arrival of additional widebody aircraft starting this fourth quarter, we are ready to bring this long-awaited city back into our network. Although the European market is highly competitive, we see tremendous potential for this route. By launching direct services between Kuala Lumpur and Paris, we are reaffirming our position as a leading airline and strengthening our role as a gateway to Asia and beyond. This route will be served by our state-of-the-art A350-900 aircraft, which already operates on key routes such as London and Doha, offering our passengers a premium travel experience," commented Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG)..
Connections will be operated with the Airbus A350-900 outfitted in three classes: 4 first class seats (the 'business suites' which, by 2026, will be replaced by the new biz cabins) 37 business seats (1-2-1 configuration) and 247 economy seats.
At the moment Malaysia Airlines flies to one airport in Europe: that of London Heathrow, every day; from March 2025, as mentioned, Paris (CDG) will also be added, thus becoming the 68th destination offered by the Malaysian carrier's network.
