The list of companies focusing on theSalerno "Amalfi Coast" airport grows more and more. The latest to announce the start of operations at Campania's second airport was Jet2, British low-cost, which as of from May 26 until the end of September will connect Salerno with Manchester and Birmingham.

Both connections to the two British cities include. one flight a week: the flight from Salerno to Manchester is scheduled every Monday at 12:55 p.m., while the arrival is scheduled for 3:10 p.m. (local time); the return flight, on the other hand, will take off from Manchester at 8:00 a.m. and land on the Amalfi Coast at 12:05 p.m. On the other hand, the connection to Birmingham is scheduled every Monday at 11:20 a.m. (with expected arrival at 1:25 p.m.); on the reverse leg, takeoff from Birmingham will be at 6:30 a.m. and arrival at QSR at 10:30 a.m. (local time).

Jet2 has a fleet consisting of 124 aircraft: 14 Airbus A321s (both -ceo and -neo variants), 2 A330-200s, 7 Boeing 757s and 102 B737; the latter model of aircraft will be the one used on the Salerno-Manchester and Salerno-Birmingham routes during next summer.

To date there are 8 Italian airports served by low-cost Jet2: Naples, Pisa, Rome (FCO), Olbia, Catania, Turin, Venice, Verona; with Salerno, then, it will become 9 from next May. Flights to Birmingham and Manchester are already available for purchase and start at €216.00 and €235.00, respectively (round trip with the cheapest fare).
