Another day of inconveniences for the Italian skies. In this case we are at theBrindisi Airport: Due to a fire start in the engine of a Boeing 737 of Ryanair, Salento airport has been temporarily closed.

The flight FR8826, bound for Turin-Caselle, carried. 184 passengers (plus crew members): no injuries are reported, fortunately. All evacuation of travelers - which took place through the emergency chutes - was carried out in complete safety. Passengers, after evacuation, were escorted inside the terminal and received assistance from airport people.
Still unknown, evidently, are the causes of the accident; the company's technicians, meanwhile, "are at work on the interventions within their competence and necessary so that Aeroporti di Puglia can proceed with the subsequent fitness checks of the runway and proceed to the reopening of the airport," the note reads. Several flights delayed, and just as many flights diverted to other airports-primarily Bari.
