24 days of work: so much for the teams of theEmirates Engineering Aircraft Appearance Centre to complete the new special livery of one of the A380 (brands A6-EOD) of the Dubai-based carrier's fleet. Emirates is an official partner of the NBA league, as well as a partner of the Emirates NBA Cup, and decided to make this special livery to celebrate the upcoming start of the 2024-2025 season.

The special livery features the dark blue and from the red, two of the colors of the NBA logo: in the fuselage, which is blue, is the "Emirates" inscription-which, for the occasion, has been painted red and not gold-the NBA logo and an illustration depicting a basketball bouncing between the basketball league logo and the carrier's name; the engine nacelles also feature the color red and the presence of EK's logo painted white, while the tail features the UAE flag.

The NBA's presence is not only limited to the outside of the plane: between Dec. 1 and Dec. 17, in fact, in conjunction with the Emirates NBA Cup, on board the A380 passengers will be able to find the seat headrests and menus branded NBA and will also have the opportunity to watch some of the Emirates NBA Cup games live on Sports24 via ICE, EK's entertainment system. Not only that, travelers will be able to discover limited-edition NBA-themed menus in Emirates lounges in Dubai (DXB), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles (LAX), and Boston (BOS).
Emirates' A380 in NBA colors will fly from Dubai to 14 destinations in the U.S. and Canada.
