I'm closer to 50 than 30 and yet I'm a huge fan of the Moxy hotel, the chain designed to capture millennials on the go. Right now, in the world there are 125 Moxy and I think I have visited at least 1/4 of them.

Ten years since the first opening
The first hotel to open its doors was actually in Milan, the Moxy Malpensa in front of T2 was the prototype of this collaboration between Marriott and Ikea.
Minimal rooms, industrial design, common spaces characterized by the presence of a bar counter that transforms into a reception desk and restaurant as needed. To celebrate this important anniversary, the brand announced that it is about to reach the 100-hotel mark in Europe by the end of 2025, with the planned addition of 17 hotels, including new openings in previously unseen markets such as Spain, Turkey and Luxembourg.
Here are the upcoming Moxy openings in Italy and Europe
Moxy Hotels plans to add 17 properties to its European portfolio by the end of 2025, Pompeii will come to Italy, the first hote with a view of the archaeological area and in Verona.
The next opening is scheduled in a few days when the Moxy Barcelona the first in Spain . It is located in the Sants neighborhood, a stone's throw from the high-speed train station, the city's historic center and the FC Barcelona stadium. When it opens, Moxy Barcelona will feature 414 rooms, classic common areas and a rooftop pool that offers a relaxation area with cabanas, a bar, pop-up food stalls, and views of the city.
First opening also in Turkey with the opening of Moxy Istanbul Beyoğlu by the end of the year, followed by the opening of Moxy Izmir. Moxy Istanbul Beyoglu will open after a complete renovation of the historic Afrikahan building built in 1905. It will have 168 rooms in the heart of Istanbul, within walking distance of Taksim Square, one of the area's most popular tourist destinations.
The Moxy Luxembourg Airport, recently opened , marked Marriott's debut in Luxembourg. Featuring 130 stylish and comfortable rooms, the hotel is located within the Skypark Business Center at the airport and is directly connected to the terminal via an internal walkway.
Marriott also plans to expand its presence in France, Portugal, Ireland, Belgium, Poland, Serbia and Germany by the end of 2025. Openings to note are:
- France, Moxy Annecy expected by the end of the year, followed by Moxy Nice.
- In Germany Moxy Kupferzell, Hohenlohe.
- Moxy plans to open its fifth hotel in Poland with Moxy Warsaw City.
- Moxy Dublin Docklands e Moxy Cork Ireland.
- Moxy is set to open its third hotel in Portugal: Moxy Alfragide Lisbon.
- Moxy Brussels Airport e Moxy Antwerp They will strengthen its presence in Belgium.
- The second hotel in Serbia with the opening of the Moxy Belgrade Skadarlija Downtown.
- Switzerland, scheduled to open Moxy Zurich, Letzigrund.
