IHG launched a new promotion: Those who decide to enroll in the One Rewards loyalty program and stay at one of IHG's properties within 21 days from the date of enrollment will be able to obtain 5000 bonus points; crediting of points, IHG points out, could take up to 6 weeks.

As specified in the terms and conditions, a promotion-eligible stay is defined as a minimum stay 1 night at a participating hotel booked directly with IHG through ihg.com, the IHG One Rewards app, an IHG reservations call center, an authorized travel agent, or directly with a participating hotel, with a total spend in excess of US$30 (or local equivalent) per night; excludes any online travel agents or other online travel booking sites, such as Expedia.com and booking.com, and unauthorized agents on online travel portals.
All IHG® hotels and resorts are participating in this promotion., except for Six Senses® facilities that do not participate in IHG One Rewards; Iberostar Beachfront resorts, not yet integrated into the IHG One Rewards program, also do not participate in this promotion.
The good news, however, does not end there: the T&Cs also specify that this offer (valid until January 31, 2025) is Cumulative with others currently active we wrote about recently. Users who participate in this promotion, therefore, may also decide to take advantage of the autumn promo (which provides 3,000 bonus Rewards points for every 2 nights) as well as the 'triple points' offer (valid, however, only in some signs).
