We can declare the summer of 2024 officially over. And we can, therefore, welcome the winter season (aviation, at least) 2024-2025.

ITA Airways, during the winter, will fly from its hub in Rome (FCO) to 21 intercontinental destinations at 13 Countries: Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Ghana, India, Japan, Senegal, United States of America, Maldives, and Thailand.
North and South America
ITA not only confirms the Rome-Buenos Aires, but also increases the frequencies: they will be 9 flights per week, with two daily frequencies on Tuesdays and Fridays, while on other days there will be only one flight). The connection will be operated with one of the Airbus A350-900 configured with 3 cabins (business, premium economy and economy class), a total of 319 places.
They will be 7, on the other hand, the weekly flights (one per day) from Rome to Rio de Janeiro: departure from FCO is scheduled at 21:50, while arrival at GIG is scheduled at 04:50 the following day (local time). In this case, the aircraft used will be theA330-900neo, configured with 3 cabins (business, premium eco and economy). Connections to and from St. Paul's Will be, instead, 14 each week, with two flights a day (one in the morning and one in the evening) departing from Rome-Fiumicino airport. Airbus A330neo and A350 aircraft will be used on this route in rotation.
ITA, then, will offer 4 connections per week to Toronto: will fly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays; departure from FCO will be at 10:15 a.m. while arrival at YYZ is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. (local time). On this route it will be possible to find both the new A330-900 and the 330-200, affectionately called "burglar-plane".
Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco e Washington are the 6 destinations in the U.S. to which people will be able to fly aboard ITA during winter '25.
They will be 3 the weekly flights to and from Boston - every Thursday, Friday and Sunday - and will be operated with the Airbus A330 (in the -200 version or the -900neo variant); as many will be the connections to and from Los Angeles - in this case every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday)-operated with A330neo aircraft.
Flights from Rome to Miami increase and pass 7 to 9 each week: will fly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (with 2 flights, one in the morning, and another in the afternoon), Fridays, Saturdays (2 flights), and Sundays. This route will be operated with Airbus A330neo aircraft. From February 1 to 28, frequencies will again drop to 7 weekly (with one flight per day); from March 1, however, it will return to 9 connections each week.
The Rome-New York (JFK) will be served by 14 flights per week. Two flights are scheduled every day: AZ608 departs in the morning at 10:15 a.m. and arrives at JFK at 2:15 p.m. local time (and is operated by one of the A330neo), while AZ610 takes off from FCO at 2:50 p.m. and lands at JFK at 6:55 p.m. (in which case one of the Airbus A330-200s will be used).
As for, however, flights between Rome and San Francisco, the summer schedule will remain in effect until October 27 (which provides 5 weekly frequencies). From December 6, and until February 1, 2025, ITA will connect FCO AND SFO with only one flight per week: every Friday will be flown aboard A330neo; departure from FCO is scheduled at 10:25 a.m., while arrival in SFO is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. From March 1-29, weekly frequencies will increase to 3.
Last but not least, flights to Washington will be suspended from October 28: the winter '25 connections will restart on March 2, with 3 weekly frequencies (Thursday, Friday and Sunday). The routes will be operated with Airbus A330s.
Africa
ITA's little gem - theAirbus A321neo outfitted in 3 classes of service, business, premium economy and economy class - will be used for the route Rome-Accra: during winter '25 it will fly three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; departure from FCO is scheduled for 3:15 p.m., while arrival in ACC is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. (local time); ITA currently has seven A321s in its fleet.
Also confirmed are flights to and from Dakar: will be 4 each week, every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The aircraft used will be the A321neo configured in 3 classes of service.
Middle East
ITA will connect Rome and Saudi Arabia with 9 flights per week, 4 to and from Jeddah and 5 to/from Riyadh: The flights will be operated with our national airline's flagship jewel, the A321neo.
ITA, as mentioned, will also connect Italy (from Rome) and Egypt during the winter season: specifically, they will be 11 flights per week to and from Cairo; it will fly twice a day on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays, and once on other days. The A321neo will also be used for this route. From October 27, as we have written in recent weeks, the daily connections from Rome to Dubai With the A321neo.
Asia
During the winter season that is about to begin, Rome and New Delhi will be connected with one flight a day: Takeoff from FCO will be at 13:45, while arrival at DEL is scheduled for 01:50 the next day (local time). The A330neo equipped with 3 cabins, business, premium eco and economy, will be used for this route.
During the winter '25 so many flights to Japan as well: 7 weekly frequencies, specifically, to and from Tokyo (HND). Takeoff from FCO is scheduled for 3:05 p.m., while arrival at Tokyo-Haneda is scheduled for 11:20 a.m. These connections will be operated with ITA's Airbus A350s.
From November 15, then, connections to and from Bangkok, operated with Airbus A330neo aircraft: will be 5 each week, on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Takeoff from FCO is scheduled at 15:15, arrival in BKK, however, is scheduled for 07:40 the following morning (local time). It was since the year 2000 that Italy's national airline (at that time Alitalia) had not offered connections to Thailand.
Finally, during winter '25 you will be able to fly aboard ITA's A330neo from Rome to Malé, in the Maldives: from Dec. 25 to Jan. 2 there will be 6 weekly frequencies; then from Jan. 3 to 9, they will drop to 5; while from Jan. 30 to March 2 there will be 4 flights each week.
