For now there is a site (damacair.com) which opens with the idyllic image of a Boeing 787-8 Portrait flying at the so-called golden hour (just before sunset).
In this article:
Just above A countdown of days, hours, minutes and seconds with the words 'Your endless holiday awaits' ('Your endless vacation awaits you').
The countdown Will expire on Monday, between noon and early afternoon afternoon, depending on whether the time zone is European or, as is more likely, UAE. Just below, a few lines hint at the following. the launch of a new airline in the commercial aviation paradise that has become the Emirates.
It will be called Damac Air (or Damac Airlines) and will be a 'luxury leisure airlines' promoted by the Damac Group, which is one of the Gulf's most graduated real estate groups. On the other hand, in and around Dubai, Abu Dhabi already had two 'legacy' carriers (Emirates e Etihad), one all-business (Beond, partly Maldivian) one hybrid (Flydubai) and a low-cost one (Air Arabia). All they had left was leisure.
The few lines on the site do not say when the company will launch (but that will probably be announced on Monday) nor what fleet it will have, although the computer-generated image on the site and the videos that appear on YouTube make fairly unequivocal choice of Boeing 787.
They say, though, Where Damac Air will fly. And it's going to be a 'where' to lick your lips since. her six destinations include the Seychelles, Maldives, Bali, Bora-Bora, Fiji and Hawaii. That is, unquestionably some of the most beautiful places in the world.
What you don't understand is. Whether these six tropical paradises will be served point-to-point from the Emirates (or other starting points) or whether instead the designers of Damac Air were more inspired by the model of the Four Seasons Private Jet, which offers world tours including hotels, dedicated service on board and ashore, sightseeing, concierge.
All that remains is to wait until Monday to find out what other 'devilry' (in a good way, of course) they've come up with over there. And maybe in the meantime try your luck by entering your details under one of the destinations to win a free vacation.
