Emirates without new planes Emirates cannot grow

This is nothing new with the deliveries of the Boeing 777/9 postponed sine die, the fatigue of Airbus to keep pace in construction of its A350/900s, the situation for Emirates is to make the most out of its current fleet.
"We would like to go back to the three daily rotations at both Malpensa and Fiumicino, but without machines it is very complicated," says Flavio Ghiringhelli, "deliveries are stopped from America and from Toulouse are arriving with dropper. We hope to see in Bologna the arrival of the new A350 by the beginning of summer 2025, but there is no official date yet (ed. at the moment the first flight is on sale from April 15."
Bologna becomes daily
From Jan. 2, the Bologna Dubai flight, the one connecting Italy's motor valley with Dubai will return daily. While waiting to upgrade to the A350 it will be operated as usual with the 777/300.
"This is an important route for us, we are the first carrier of the products of major high-end automotive companies, the A350's belly is also capacious, and we will continue to transport the valuable cargo around the world via our Dubai hub.
150 thousand passengers arrived in Italy with Emirates this summer
Interesting numbers were pitted by Ghiringhelli. If in recent weeks Emirates had talked about the favorite routes of passengers departing from Italy, this time the focus was on incoming.
"From June to September, on the 4 Italian airports we carried over 140k foreign passengers. Mainly Americans, but a lot from Asia and Oceania, tourists who come here to visit the country."
Emirates ready for Jubilee
The gates of Rome will open at the end of December, and over 5 million pilgrims are projected to visit the Eternal City and the Vatican throughout 2025. "We are ready to do our part," Ghiringhelli concludes, "if we had more planes we could even open a few Fifth Freedom routes, but unfortunately that is not possible."
