The fleet of Etihad Is mainly composed of wide-body aircraft: as many as 42 Boeing 787 'Dreamliner', 13 B777s, five Airbus A350s and as many A380s, and 28 A320 family aircraft; these were recently joined by a A320neo (makes A6-EJB), the Abu Dhabi-based company's first.

The aircraft in question is, if you will, even more special as it features a special livery: on the fuselage were painted the colors and branding of the Indian cricket team Chennai Super Kings, of which Etihad has been an official sponsor since last February. The Inaugural flight of EY's first A320neo is scheduled for December, when it takes off from Abu Dhabi to Chennai, India.
"We are delighted to celebrate our partnership with CSK with this new livery featuring yellow and blue, the team colors. We are incredibly proud of our partnership with CSK and the joy that cricket brings to so many people around the world," commented Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Etihad Airways.
This is the third special livery unveiled by Etihad during 2024: the first one was dedicated to Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi (with DC Comics and Looney Tunes characters), while the second one-painted in one of the A321neo- features the Au Dhabi skyline.
Etihad operates 181 flights a week to 11 Indian cities; 83, on the other hand, destinations are offered worldwide. To these were added last Nov. 25. 10 routes to be served from next year: the destinations in question are Atlanta, Taipei, Medan, Phnom Penh, Krabi, Tunis, Chiang Mai, Hong Kong, Hanoi, and Algiers.
