After a two-year absence, Aeroitalia - Italy's youngest airline - makes its return to Trapani and announces two new routes to Wedge e Parma.

Indeed, we at TFC do not forget the debut at this airport, We were present the day the Trapani Catania direct flight first took off.
Now we hope that these routes will have a less troubled future since the interregional flight experiment, the only one on the Italian (and perhaps European) scene had lasted less than a month before being placed in theList of the many routes announced by Aeroitalia and operated for little (or nothing) such as routes to London and many others.
Flights to Parma, active since Dec. 13, count two weekly frequencies, on Fridays and Mondays: taking off from the Sicilian airport at 5:40 p.m. and landing at the Emilia-Romagna airport at 7:40 p.m.; on the reverse route, departure from PMF is scheduled at 3:00 p.m., while the scheduled arrival at TPS is 5:00 p.m. The connections will be operated by Embraer E175s. set up in one class, with a total of 88 seats.
Trapani-Cuneo, on the other hand, is. active since Dec. 14 and again they are two weekly frequencies, every Tuesday and Saturday: departing from Trapani at 5:10 p.m. and arriving in Cuneo at 6:50 p.m.; departing from CUF, on the other hand, is scheduled at 2:50 p.m., while arriving in TPS at 4:30 p.m.
Aeroitalia also announced its membership in the new plan of the Sicilian Region which provides for a 50% discount on airline tickets for direct flights to and from Sicilian airports during the period between Dec. 7, 2024, and Jan. 6, 2025-undoubtedly good news for Sicilians and residents, given the high flight prices due to the holidays.
"Despite the good numbers that the Trapani Birgi airport manages to make during the summer season, the Winter are less rich, so we are doubly pleased to welcome the return of Aeroitalia company to Birgi, with as many as two routes and departing in winter. As for the destinations, Parma and Cuneo, they are really strategic and very much felt by the area and we are sure there will be great demand," says the president of Airgest, Salvatore Ombra.
