Just yesterday, Thursday, Dec. 12, Canada's national airline announced that. starting in May '25 all of its aircraft will be equipped with fast, free wi-fi from provider BELL. Thus, not only the medium- and long-haul fleet-comprising Boeing 767s, 787s, 777s, and Airbus A330s-but also the aircraft used on shorter routes, such as Dash 8-400s, will offer Internet capability.

The sine qua non will be, trivially, be enrolled in the Aeroplan loyalty program: To take advantage of wi-fi connectivity, you will simply need to log in during the flight; nothing could be simpler. It is good to specify one thing: initially wi-fi will be available in the to the USA, Mexico and the Caribbean; from 2026, then, it will also be usable in international and intercontinental flights (e.g. to Italy).
