To celebrate the historic achievement, SOGAER--the company that manages the capital's airport--rewarded its five millionth passenger at a veritable party in the airport's departure floor lobby: the winner is little Gioele Mura - 4 years old, originally from Alghero - who received from the hands of president Monica Pilloni, CEO Fabio Mereu and SOGAER commercial director David Crognaletti of the round-trip award tickets to New York of the Italian company NEOS.
"The 5 million passenger milestone comes at the end of a positive year, where a lot of work has been done with the whole group in order to achieve significant economic, social and environmental goals, always maintaining a high level of attention to ensure service and passenger safety. The results confirm that we are on the right track but we are aware that the traffic growth expected in the coming years requires significant investment and structural adjustments. The challenge is to strengthen and develop the role of regional structures with the necessary institutional support in an increasingly global market," commented Monica Pilloni, president of SOGAER.
Little Joel and his parents were not the only lucky ones: 5 other passengers also celebrated, who were honored with as many Aeroitalia company voucher.
