Right on time, as always, Hilton Honors announced a few weeks in advance the promotion that will accompany members of the world's fastest-growing hotel loyalty program, for the early part of 2025.
In this article:
Promotion
For all stays, even those already booked, the users who register before check-in will receive double points from January 1 to April 30.
Hilton seems to have run out of imagination in terms of bonuses, since this is a very "basic" promotion with little incentive at a time that is the beginning of the year where there is generally a lot of business travel, thus short and not high-spending.
Certainly still it is better than Marriott which, on the contrary, does not give the guarantee of always having an active promotion to its members.
How are Bonus Points awarded?
For stays within the promotion period, a member will earn bonus points equal to the number of base points earned.
- An Honors member stays 2 nights at $ 100 per night and earns 2,000 base points and 2,000 bonus points for a total of 4,000 points.
- an Honors member stays 4 nights at $ 100 per night and earns 4,000 base points and 4,000 bonus points for a total of 8,000 points.
In conclusion
I personally prefer promotions like the one currently live, namely those that give a "Flat" award of 2,500 points and not double points. The reason is simple by traveling a lot but hopping from hotel to hotel, it is easy to put 5/6ooo points in your pocket with one-night stays of 100$, on the contrary this promo pushes you to do many continuous nights in the same hotel and maximize the doubling of points.
