We have written this in recent days, at the moment to fly sitting in one of the three First Class seats on the only plane where Allegris is offered Is only a very small number of lucky guests, but the wait is coming to an end March 30, the new first class will officially go on sale, the one that promises to completely revamp the experience aboard the German carrier's aircraft.
In this article:
In a press release, the company dictated the end of the transition period and announced, in detail, All extra costs that will be required for choosing a seat on board at entire new fleet outfitted with cabins renamed Allegris.
How much it will cost to fly first class on allegris
From March 30, 2025, travelers will be able to book flights with the new cabin configuration on long-haul routes, Lufthansa Allegris, and select special Allegris seats. The first routes on which targeted booking of Allegris seats will be offered will be flights from Munich to Shanghai, San Francisco and Chicago.
Over the following weeks and months, more and more destinations will gradually be added for which a single place can be selected.
I tried searching on the (few) destinations served and the price is higher than on flights operated by Swiss or LH, on planes where the new cabin is not present.
The new first class is configured with only 3 seats on board, two outside seats and a "double" suite in the middle of the cabin. While choosing one of the two side seats has no extra cost, the "single" passenger who would like to reserve the suite+ must pay an extra price.
The price is standard 2,900 euro surcharge to enjoy in solitude, one of the most exclusive cabins in the skies on a long-haul flight, while when these planes are used on medium-haul the supplement will drop to €1900. Note that if you are traveling as a couple instead, there will be no extra charge if you choose to travel in this cabin.
What I don't like about this booth (aside from the price)
I got to sit in the mockup of the booth. and I must say that it is even better than the Emirates Gamechanger or of the Singapore Suites on the A380. There is one though as big as a house. In the case of Allegris a couple flying in this configuration lives in a studio apartment, but where everything is "mono," while the competition has everything double.
Here there is only a big screen, a double bed, and a tablet to manage the home automation and heating of the suite. If traveling in pairs one passenger sits by the door and has to be overridden by the neighbor if he wants to go to the bathroom, or if one wants to sleep the other has to lie down, and vice versa, one wants to work, the other cannot get to sleep. That is, you pay for two tickets, but occupy the space of only one user.
Certainly it's a giant leap forward from the current First Class aboard 747s and A380s, planes that will most likely will not see these booths, or will see them lightened.
In conclusion
This is a revolutionary product, in which LH has invested so much, now that we are beginning to see the fruits (and the price) of this work, it remains to be seen especially how fares will settle past the initial moment due to the onlookers (and youtubers).

The master bedroom suite aboard Singapore Airlines' A380.
I honestly don't see a couple preferring this cabin to the double on board SQ, where you have two armchairs, two TVs, two doors, and a double bed (with a view).
