Those who dream of flying aboard the Mint Suite by JetBlue from Italy to the U.S., he needs to put his mind at rest: it will not be possible to do so even in 2025; it will be talked about, perhaps, in a handful of years.
In this article:
As we have reported in the past few months, JetBlue-after growing so much (and so fast) after the Covid - He had to press down hard on the brake pedal: stopped flying to some cities, halved some routes in Central and South America and Europe, and, most importantly, postponed for a few years the entry of new aircraft (mainly Airbus A321XLR) into the fleet, which would have enabled it to increase the number of intercontinental routes.
The mantra is, therefore, Limit costs and increase revenue as much as possible: that's why, as mentioned, JetBlue will not start flying to our country next summer either. On the other hand, however, the company has launched Two new routes to and from Europe: the Boston-Edinburgh and the Boston-Madrid.
Specifically, from May 22 to October 25, 2025 JetBlue will connect, for the first time, Boston and Edinburgh with one flight per day. This is not, however, the first time the airline has ever flown to Scotland, as it already operated a seasonal route from New York during summer '24. The aircraft used for this route will be theA321neo by 160 seats, 16 of them in business class (the 'Mint Suites') and 144 in economy.
From May 23 to October 25 next year, however, JetBlue will connect with one flight a day the cities of Madrid and Boston: the launch of this seasonal flight marks the beginning of the American airline's operations in Spain; in this case the connection will be operated with theA321LR set up in two classrooms, with 24 Mint Suites e 114 economy seats.
There are 6, in total, European destinations served by JetBlue: Amsterdam, Dublin, Edinburgh, London (Heathrow and Gatwick), Madrid and Paris.
