At a distance of Two years since the announcement and with perfectly adhered to schedule during spring 2025, the Edition Como Lake will open on Lake Como. The former Britannia Excelsior hotel, purchased by the joint venture between the Omnam Group and Bain Capital, will open its doors after a two-year, tens of millions of dollars renovation.

The Lake Como EDITION will have 145 rooms, including two penthouse suites, a lobby bar, a floating pool, and numerous restaurants and bars overlooking Lake Como with breathtaking views of the Bellagio mountains. The 1800s building, located on the western shore of Lake Como, is undergoing a total renovation and will eventually upgrade from the current three stars to five stars. To understand the kind of makeover, just think that there were nearly 300 rooms in the old hotel.
There is currently no opening date yet and On the hotel website there are no photos or details of what the new hotel will look like. Impossible at the moment to know even the costs of the rooms, but this is definitely one of those facilities where I could definitely invest a bunch of Bonvoy points and also a nice NUA for enjoy the benefits of my Titanium Bonvoy status to the fullest.
