63 million: many were the passengers who, during 2024, flew aboard Wizz Air. This achievement, as the company explains, was made possible thanks to over 300,000 flights: was the best annual passenger traffic ever recorded in the history of Hungarian low-cost.

In Italy, specifically, Wizz has reached the 18 million passengers, marking a 15% increase over the previous year and operating beyond 90,000 flights. Then in 2024, the carrier continued to expand its network in our country, opening almost 100 new routes, including links from Milan, Rome, Salerno, Naples, Genoa and Bologna to numerous destinations in Europe and beyond. This has further consolidated its presence in Italy, where the company now offers over 200 routes towards almost 90 destinations at 30 Countries.
To further improve the passenger experience, Wizz Air has implemented several innovations, as the voice assistant Amelia, operating 24 hours a day to resolve any inconveniences of travelers. In addition, a new customer support platform has been launched, Help Centre, on the company's official website.
Not only that, during the previous year, Wizz inaugurated the new Training Center a Rome Fiumicino, the company's first pilot training center in Italy and second overall after the one in Budapest. With an investment of more than 38 million euros, this center will provide recurrent training to more than 4,800 pilots each year.

In addition, the company also achieved remarkable results in terms of punctuality. In 2024, he completed the 99.5% of scheduled flights, which places it as the Europe's second most punctual low-cost airline, performing well above the industry average.
Looking ahead, over the course of 2025 and the coming year, the Hungarian low-cost plans to receive more 50 new Airbus A321neo and A321XLRs.: The fleet will thus consist of the 77% of latest generation aircraft. But that's not all: during 2025, Wizz will continue to invest in Italy, with expansion plans and further improvements to the services it offers. In particular, the company is preparing to support theJubilee Holy Year 2025, with the aim of offering convenient and comfortable connections for pilgrims and tourists from all over the world.
